The Many Ways to Use Diablo OMT Blades

The Many Ways to Use Diablo OMT Blades

The line of Diablo OMT blades lives up to its multi-function and versatile name; all it takes is to switch out among the collection for the right blade for the task at hand.

Jason Brown Wood Floors is more than a hardwood flooring contractor. We’re also in the business of providing top-notch tools and accessories that contractors and craftsmen of all specialties can use on their next job. There are always new products coming into our showroom that we can’t wait for you to explore.

Today, let’s put a spotlight on Diablo OMT blades or blades made for those oscillating multi-tools. This line of blades lives up to its multi-function and versatile name; all it takes is to switch out among the collection for the right blade for the task at hand. Diablo OMT blades also come in Starlock mounts, which creates a secure fit on the multi-tool. Now, owners of Festool, Bosch, and Fein multi-tools can get in on the action! These are just some of the ways these Diablo OMT blades would make an excellent addition to your tool kit.

Trim and Cut

Carpenters and remodeling contractors need to execute precise cuts to install something or create a clean finish to their handiwork. Sometimes, a saw can’t reach a spot or doesn’t offer the user the desired level of control. The right Diablo OMT blade can make the perfect cut for these scenarios. You can trim metal and PVC pipes with their high-performance bi-metal or carbide blades. Further, these are excellent for making exact long or plunge cuts into floorboards, drywall, trim molding, and more. The blades oscillate at an off-set angle from the multi-tool body, meaning you can reach awkward spots and make flush cuts as needed. Did we mention that these powerful heat-resistant Diablo OMT blades can also cut through nail-embedded wood?

Sanding Down

Swap out the blades for a Diablo OMT sanding plate or pad, and you’ll be smoothing out those wood surfaces in a breeze. This application would be great for refinishing hardwood floors in those hard-to-reach spaces, and for sanding away any remnant varnish and paint, smoothing away uneven imperfections, or otherwise prepping the surface for a new finishing coat. Of course, the sanding pad can also be used on doors, windows, furniture, cabinetry, and so much more. People even use the sanding attachments to remove and smooth down rusted surfaces (say, from a metal fence or old tools) so that they can be repainted and otherwise restored.

Scrape and Remove

If you don’t already know, the line of Diablo OMT accessories can also help you tackle those painstaking removal jobs with ease. Again, you can swap out the blade for a scraper, one specifically for grout and mortar. This can make any bathroom renovation a lot easier when dealing with the grout around the bathtub or existing tiles. Are you working on replacing some glued-down flooring like vinyl floors? The oscillating motion of the scraping blade can make it ideal for scraping away that stubborn adhesive. Choose between a flexible scraper for soft adhesives and a rigid body construction for hardened adhesives.
