Easy to Handle
The Festool 1400 Router comes with an ergonomic handle with a full-grip designed for increased control and reduced fatigue with a power switch and speed control at your fingertips. The handles on the side of the router negate its weight, making it easy to maneuver even with smaller hands. Unlike other power tools, the electrical cord is not permanently wired to the router and attaches instead to the end of the lever handle. This makes storage a breeze, and if the cord ever breaks, you can replace it easily.
Dust Extraction
All woodworkers are familiar with the issue of dust in the workshop. Luckily, like many Festool products, the 1400 Router comes equipped with dust extraction compartments. A snap-in top collector with a pick-up tube collects dust and woodchips that fly around when using the router. Adequate dust extraction improves visibility and keeps you safe while working with power tools.
Adjustable Depth
The Festool allows for very precise micro-adjustment of the depth. There is a dial on the depth guide on the left side of the Festool. It can be turned every 1/10th of a millimeter with ball detents, allowing you to dial in your routing with incredible precision.
Electronic Control
The Festool 1400 Router comes equipped with MMC electronic controls that provide constant speed for improved cut quality, variable speed, and thermal protection. With 1400 watts and MMC electronic controls, the OF 1400 is a medium sized router with enough power to handle even your biggest projects.
